On August 31, 2025, the Sultanate of Oman launched its much-anticipated Golden Visa program, a pivotal step in establishing the country as a center for investment, innovation, and opportunity. Unlike traditional residency plans, the Oman Golden Visa is a progressive initiative in line with Oman Vision 2040, aiming to diversify the economy, advance digital transformation, and ensure a sustainable future. This program is a bold appeal to global investors, entrepreneurs, and affluent individuals to engage in Oman’s growth journey.
The Oman Golden Visa provides a renewable 10-year residency, allowing investors and their families to live and work in the Sultanate without a local sponsor. This initiative not only attracts foreign capital but also bolsters key growth sectors like tourism, energy, real estate, and technology.
Visa holders enjoy numerous benefits, such as easy renewal every decade, dedicated lanes at airports and borders, and residency rights for first-degree family members with no age or number limits. They can employ up to three household workers, sponsor temporary visitors, and own property outside Integrated Tourism Complexes for various purposes, with the ability to transfer ownership.
Applicants need to invest a minimum of OMR 200,000 through options like real estate, company establishment with audited capital, government bonds, fixed bank deposits, stocks, or creating jobs for at least 50 Omanis. Foreign-owned enterprises with at least OMR 200,000 in registered capital can nominate partners or senior executives for residency.
Eligibility criteria include a net worth of OMR 200,000, being at least 21 years old, having no criminal history, and possessing valid health insurance. Applications are processed through Migrate World, the official partner approved by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion.
