Adraee explained in a statement that the operation involved pumping over 20,000 cubic meters of sealing materials through a special system that extended over a distance of 4.5 kilometers, from the area near the border fence at the town of ‘Netiv HaAsara’ to the depth of the tunnel path. He noted that the operation relied on ‘precise engineering planning’ and incorporated advanced technologies and innovative work methods used for the first time, leading to a ‘complete closure’ of the tunnel.
Simultaneously, the military spokesperson confirmed the continued destruction of infrastructure in Beit Hanoun with explosives, where approximately an additional 2.4 kilometers of tunnels were destroyed, delivering ‘a significant blow to the Beit Hanoun Battalion, operationally defeating it,’ according to him.
Earlier, the Palestinian statement described Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich’s announcement of his new settlement plan as a ‘dangerous step aimed at severing the geographical continuity between Ramallah and Bethlehem, and isolating Jerusalem from its Palestinian surroundings.’
The movement stated in a statement today, Thursday: ‘Smotrich’s plan reveals the true face of the Zionist government, as a colonial occupation government, working to Judaize the land and impose a fait accompli policy.’ Hamas confirmed that ‘the occupation’s attempts will not grant it any legitimacy, nor will they deter the Palestinian people’s resolve to defend their land and sanctities,’ calling on all Palestinian forces to ‘mobilize and unite behind the option of resistance to confront this dangerous plan.’
