In a conversation with ‘Sputnik’ radio, Al-Marash pointed out that these protests have reached the point of demanding the departure of President Macron due to the impact of his failed policies on France’s global position. There are rising voices calling for the abolition of the Fifth Republic and the transition to the Sixth Republic, as well as the adoption of proportional representation in French legislative and presidential elections.

The writer and political analyst considered that the French crisis is not limited to the budget but is also linked to increasing debt, in addition to inflation striking the French economy, causing the bankruptcy of thousands of operating companies.

Al-Marash predicted difficulties in forming a new government headed by ‘Sebastien Lecornu,’ and that he might lose confidence in the first session.

Al-Marash noted that right and left-wing parties criticize France for spending more than 20 billion on the Ukrainian conflict. They point to France’s wrong policies in handling the Ukrainian crisis due to the absence of a military solution there, and its negative impact on international security and stability, as well as the living conditions of French citizens.

He concluded that this might force President Macron to change his policies towards Ukraine, as they deepen the internal crisis, in addition to the crises he faces within Europe.
