Rayhan Thomas showcased remarkable composure on Thursday, shooting an impressive five-under-par 67 to surge into contention at Stage Two of the Korn Ferry Tour Qualifying School in the U.S.
Now sitting at 11-under-par after earlier rounds of 67 and 71, the Dubai-born Indian from Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club is tied for ninth on a tightly contested leaderboard.
Throughout the week, Thomas emphasized he wasn’t chasing scores but focused on his own game, maintaining composure and delivering the professional level of play required.
Currently at 11-under-par, after rounds of 67 and 71, Thomas is tied for ninth in a competitive field of 76 players.
Birdie Blitz
Starting with an even-par front nine that included two birdies and two bogeys, his performance heated up on the back nine. Scoring five birdies, with three consecutive on holes 14, 15, and 16, the 26-year-old climbed the leaderboard when it counted most.
After completing his round, Thomas remarked, “I finished strong in my third round. The weather was calm but cooler, perfect for scoring.”
“It was great to see my putts dropping toward the end, exactly what I needed,” he continued. “I’m not aiming for a specific score. I don’t know others’ scores while playing.
“My focus remains on my game. If I continue playing as I have, I hope to progress, my sole target for the week.”
This marks Thomas’s second consecutive year competing in Stage Two at this venue. With the top 15 advancing to the Final Stage, he currently stands on the qualifying line, part of a seven-player group at 11-under. Four players trail by one shot, with many still within reach, setting up an intense final round.
Weather could significantly impact the event. A full day of rain is forecasted, leading officials to advance tee times and plan contingencies, potentially extending play to Saturday if necessary.
Road to Final Stage
Qualifiers this week will proceed to the 72-hole Korn Ferry Final Qualifying, scheduled for December 11–14, 2025, at TPC Sawgrass (Dye’s Valley) and Sawgrass Country Club (East and West) in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
In the final stage, the top five finishers will earn full PGA Tour cards for next season, and the next 40 and ties will receive full Korn Ferry Tour membership for 2026.
Thomas, representing Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, is sponsored by Hero, Wilson, Cadillac, and the Dubai Basketball Association.
