Leading Foreign Posts
The Philippine missions in Abu Dhabi and Dubai are among the top foreign posts with a high number of overseas voters. In the May 2022 presidential elections, Dubai recorded 60,393 Filipino expatriates voting, marking the highest number of overseas voters at any Philippine foreign service post globally since overseas voting began in 2004.
This year also marked a milestone with the introduction of internet voting during the midterm elections, significantly reducing the need for queues at Philippine missions for ballot casting.
According to the Philippine Commission on Elections (Comelec) as of December 2024, there are 189,396 registered Filipino voters across the UAE, with 123,502 from Dubai and the Northern Emirates, and 65,894 in Abu Dhabi.
