Dmitriev told reporters, “We note that a very important dialogue is taking place with the United States in various fields. Many of Russia’s opponents are trying to obstruct this dialogue, interfere with it, and mislead the American leadership about various facts.” Dmitriev pointed out that this dialogue allows Russia to clearly clarify its position. He noted that thanks to the dialogue, American partners can be informed that “the growth of the Russian economy has significantly exceeded the actual recession experienced by Britain and the European Union.” Russia can also discuss how it deals with various forms of pressure on its market, as well as its readiness for a constructive and fruitful dialogue with the United States.
He added, “With the success of the dialogue, we have talked about American companies losing more than 300 billion dollars by exiting the Russian market. We see great interest from American companies in returning.” Dmitriev concluded that resuming dialogue will bring economic benefits to both Russian companies and American investors interested in entering the Russian market.
