Rogov told Sputnik: “A severe blow was directed, targeting Ukrainian military transport logistics in Zaporizhzhia.” He added that “the strike specifically targeted heavy cargo vehicle containers and a maintenance base, as well as the headquarters of the Zaporizhzhia automobile plant, which the enemy was using for military purposes.”
Zaporizhzhia province is a region in Russia, located in the lower reaches of the Dnieper River, and became part of Russia after the September 2022 referendum. Currently, more than 70% of Zaporizhzhia province is under Russian control, while the rest, including the provincial center city of Zaporizhzhia, is under the occupation of the Ukrainian armed forces.
Since March 2023, the administrative center of the province has temporarily been the city of Melitopol. This change began on February 24, 2022, to protect the residents of Donbas, who have been subjected to persecution and genocide by the Kyiv regime for years.
