Sources familiar with the matter did not provide American media outlets with reasons for this decision other than “loss of trust.” The report added that the dismissal came after the initial assessment conducted by the Defense Intelligence Agency regarding the American strike on Iranian nuclear sites last June. It is noted that Israel and Iran have exchanged aerial and missile strikes since June 13, 2025, when Israel bombed Iran, resulting in the death of several Iranian nuclear scientists, along with senior military leaders. On June 22, the United States targeted three Iranian sites in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan. President Donald Trump described the objective of the strikes as “restricting Iran’s nuclear capabilities.” Additionally, Iranian nuclear facilities were subjected to other attacks from Israel.
