The Vivo V60 makes its debut in the UAE on August 22, 2025, with prices set at Dh1,849 for the 256GB model and Dh1,999 for the 512GB model. Pre-orders are currently open.
This latest offering from the Chinese tech powerhouse positions itself as a mid-range smartphone with high-end ambitions, featuring a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, a 6,500mAh battery, and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 performance. But does it meet the hype? We spent a few days testing it in Dubai, and here’s our review.
Design & Display
Vivo has prioritized aesthetics with the V60. Its quad-curved, nearly bezel-free design gives it a premium touch, and the Diamond Shield Glass ensures durability.
The 6.77-inch AMOLED display is excellent for media viewing. With a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and up to 5,000 nits peak brightness, outdoor readability is impressive. However, the quad-curved edges can sometimes cause accidental touches, and the under-display fingerprint sensor can lag behind some competitors.
Camera
The highlight of Vivo’s collaboration with ZEISS is evident. The 50MP periscope telephoto lens is impressive in this price range, providing smooth optical zoom and portraits with significant depth. Features like ZEISS Stage Style Portrait and Multifocal Portrait enhance creative photography.

The AI editing suite, including AI Erase 3.0, Magic Move, and Image Expander, adds fun and works well, although overuse can make photos seem artificial. The front-facing 50MP wide-angle camera captures detailed selfies, even in low-light conditions.
Video stabilization is where it falters slightly. While still adequate, competitors handle shaky videos more effectively in this segment.
Performance & Battery
Powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and up to 12+12GB RAM, the V60 offers smooth performance for daily tasks. Apps, multitasking, and mid-to-heavy gaming run seamlessly, though extended gaming sessions can cause noticeable warming.
The 6,500mAh BlueVolt battery is a strong point. It easily lasts a day and a half with moderate use. The 90W FlashCharge is impressively fast, with a 30-minute charge providing over 60% battery life.
AI
With AI integration becoming ubiquitous, Vivo extends beyond just a photography phone. It includes AI features like Smart Call Assistant with real-time translations, Meeting Summary, and AI SuperLink, making it a versatile tool for professionals.
Is it worth the price?
For a mid-range phone, the Vivo V60 performs well. It’s ambitious, with its photography capabilities and battery life making it a strong contender. However, there are compromises: video stabilization could be better, and some AI photography features may feel more gimmicky than necessary.

If you value a stylish phone with a strong camera, long battery life, and flagship-like features at a mid-range price, the V60 is worth considering. Priced between Dh1,849 and Dh1,999, it competes well in its price range, but you’ll need to decide if the ZEISS-branded photography and other standout features justify the cost over similar alternatives.
Available in Desert Gold, Mist Gray, and Berry Purple (exclusive on Noon) for Dh1,849 (256GB) and Dh1,999 (512GB). The device goes on sale on August 22 in the UAE, with pre-orders available now.
