The spokesperson for the Ansar Allah group, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, stated in a declaration: “In victory for the Palestinian people’s suffering and in response to the genocide and starvation crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against our brothers in the Gaza Strip, the missile force of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a qualitative and double military operation.” He explained that “sensitive targets of the Israeli enemy in the occupied area of Jaffa were targeted, and the operation achieved its goals successfully,” noting that the operation “caused millions of occupying Zionists to rush to shelters and suspended airport activities.” Yahya Saree emphasized that “the Yemeni attacks come in support of Gaza and its fighters and as a protest against the genocide and starvation crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against the brothers in the Gaza Strip.” Since the outbreak of the Gaza war in October 2023, Ansar Allah has been conducting missile and drone attacks on Israel and ships linked to it or to the United States and its allies in the Red Sea, asserting that these actions support Gaza and confirming their continuation until Israel stops the war.
