88% of Individuals Seeking Status Change Choose to Stay in the Country

In the opening week of the initiative launched on September 1 to rectify the situations of residency law violators, the Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs, and Port Security reported a significant level of engagement. The program, which will run for two months, found that 88% of individuals who applied for a status change chose to stay and continue their work in the UAE. In contrast, only 12% opted to leave the country while pursuing their applications.

This statistic illustrates the UAE’s allure as a living and working destination and emphasizes the importance of the initiative in enabling individuals to adjust their circumstances while remaining within the nation.
Throughout the first week, the initiative benefited from the ongoing presence of leadership and partners at state service centers, ensuring a streamlined operation. This structured approach effectively addressed urgent needs related to meeting the deadline and resolving pressing issues through direct communication with stakeholders. As a result, applicants experienced higher levels of satisfaction, achieving their objectives more seamlessly.
