This fall event isn’t solely focused on the iPhone. Apple is also expected to launch the Apple Watch Series 11, the Apple Watch Ultra 3, and possibly updated AirPods Pro during the same presentation. All these products are likely to share a synchronized release date.
Interest is also building around Apple’s new software. This year, iOS 26 has been attracting more attention than usual, with early testers applauding its speed and refinement.
Mark Gurman from Bloomberg mentioned in his Power On newsletter that the sixth developer beta feels “incredibly fast,” indicating that the final public release is near. iOS 26 will come pre-installed on iPhone 17 models but will also be downloadable on older devices, starting from the iPhone 11.
If Apple sticks to its usual schedule, the release timeline could resemble last year’s. In 2024, iOS 18 was released on Monday, September 16, a week after the keynote and just before the iPhone 16 hit stores. This suggests that iOS 26 might be released in the week starting September 15.
