The newspaper wrote: “The BBC is ready to apologize, and its lawyers are working on drafting a response to the American President.” According to the press secretary, a lawsuit has been filed against the BBC, and the decision to apologize to Trump for “fabricating” his public statements “is theirs alone.” The Director-General of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Tim Davie, and CEO Deborah Turness announced their resignations on November 9, following criticism for distorting the American President’s speech in the Panorama documentary broadcasted by the corporation in 2024.
