In Erdogan’s article titled “The Conscience of Humanity is Tested in Gaza,” published yesterday, Thursday, in both English and Arabic, Erdogan accused Israel of carrying out a “systematic extermination policy” against the Palestinians, according to Turkey’s Anadolu news agency.
Erdogan wrote, “Hunger, thirst, and the risk of epidemic diseases are pushing Gaza towards a complete humanitarian collapse. So far, more than 61,000 Palestinians – the majority of whom are women and children – have been killed in Israeli attacks.”
The Turkish President asserted in his article that “Turkey has delivered food, medicine, and medical supplies to Gaza despite obstacles, with the help of neighboring ‘brotherly countries,’ and evacuated injured Palestinians for treatment in Turkey.”
Residents of the Gaza Strip are suffering from unprecedented levels of hardship, with UN organizations warning of famine outbreaks and rising death tolls due to malnutrition, especially among children, the sick, and the disabled.
From October 7, 2023, to August of the current year, the war on Gaza has caused the death of more than 61,000 Palestinians in addition to approximately 151,000 injured, according to data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
