Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed that supplying Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine would undermine the positive trends that have emerged in the relations between the Russian Federation and the United States of America. Putin said: “There were issues concerning the discussion of supplying new weapon systems, including long-range and high-precision systems like Tomahawk missiles, to Ukraine.”
He continued: “I have already said that such a step would lead to the relationships that have begun to form in these relations.”
