A correspondent reported on Saturday evening that a large number of law enforcement officers are maintaining order in the area surrounding the ‘Live Arena’ in Moscow. Law enforcement officers are confirmed to be present in the fenced area adjacent to the Live Arena building and its vicinity, where spectators and journalists from various countries have gathered for the competition.

Before the start of the ‘Intervision’ competition final at the Live Arena, spectators, including foreign guests, gathered to perform the song ‘Matushka’ by the Russian singer Tatyana Kortukova. The song, inspired by folklore with a national character and known for blending with modern pop music, has become one of the most distinctive and widespread songs in recent years.

In a related context, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a special video message to the guests and participants of the international music event, describing the competition final as one of the most anticipated cultural events of the year. Putin emphasized that Russia has always been open to communication and cooperation, respecting the traditions and values of others. In a special video address to the competition participants, he stated, ‘Russia has always been, and remains, a country open to communication and creative cooperation. We cherish our traditions and respect the traditions of others.’

The Russian president added, ‘The contemporary world is witnessing rapid changes, and there is an increasing need for justice and for wide and equal enjoyment of the fruits of social, economic, and cultural progress. People have the right to free development and to preserve their identity.’ In his welcoming speech to the Intervision competition participants, Putin said, ‘I wish all competitors a successful performance and well-deserved appreciation. I hope each of you feels the support of the sincere and loyal audience.’

Putin had previously signed a decree to hold the International ‘Intervision’ Music Competition in Moscow and its suburbs in 2025. It is noteworthy that ‘Intervision’ is an international music competition aimed at expressing the spiritual and moral values of peoples through art, while the festival offers the audience an opportunity to immerse themselves in the cultural heritage, traditions, and unique creativity of each country.
