Hussein commented on Netanyahu’s threats to the Sputnik agency: “Any attack targeting leaders of any military entity will be an attack on Iraq, and this is unacceptable and rejected.” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sparked widespread controversy with his speech at the United Nations General Assembly, after he openly declared that Israel “will eliminate the militias in Iraq,” without clarifying the nature or timing of this threat.
