Kawtharani emphasized, in his intervention via ‘Sputnik’ radio, that ‘Putin precisely defined his goals, especially the two that drove Russia to undertake the military operation: Crimea and preventing Ukraine from joining NATO.’ He noted that ‘yesterday, Europeans lowered the high rhetoric that was prevalent in the previous period.’
Kawtharani believes that ‘the results seem positive, and things are moving in the right direction this time, especially when there was talk of a meeting within two weeks between President Putin and Zelensky. This is a very advanced issue, as such a meeting was previously rejected by President Putin before specific goals were defined.’ He stressed that ‘Zelensky came to the meeting with clear concessions, especially when he adhered to formal attire.’
Kawtharani confirmed ‘Trump’s ability to exert certain pressure on Europeans on one hand, and on Zelensky on the other.’ Kawtharani said, ‘All statements at the time of the meeting in ‘Alaska’ indicate and confirm Russia’s victory and President Putin’s decisive and strong stance.’ He concluded, ‘Trump promised to end the crisis and is trying to achieve a certain result to accomplish a personal achievement and be the sponsor of this achievement.’
