Rajesh Khanna, sharing his name with a legendary Bollywood icon, distinguishes himself with his deep passion for cricket.
As a Canadian citizen of Indian descent, Khanna globetrots to catch India’s cricket matches live.
Currently, he’s in Dubai to cheer on India in the Asia Cup.
“I’ve been residing in Canada since 2000, marking 25 years in North America, yet I never miss a chance to attend India’s cricket matches,” he shared.
Khanna is en route to India for a holiday, with Dubai as a stopover for cricket.
“I’m traveling to India, making Dubai a cricket stopover. I’m here for all the India matches and will return to Canada afterward. I also attended the India-Pakistan match on September 14,” the 63-year-old noted.
Having previously lived in the UAE, Khanna, now based in Ottawa, also flew to South Africa to witness Sachin Tendulkar’s unforgettable innings in the 2003 World Cup against Pakistan.
“Witnessing Sachin’s 98 (off 75) in South Africa is a cherished memory as a cricket enthusiast,” he expressed.
