UAE Advances Crypto with Changer & PayFlex Partnership

Changer.ae, a prominent secure digital asset service provider licensed in ADGM, and PayFlex.ae, a trailblazer in crypto technology services, have formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create a comprehensive digital asset ecosystem. The MoU was signed at Al Maryah Community Bank (Mbank), the UAE’s first fully integrated digital bank and a key partner in the ecosystem.

This strategic alliance seeks to streamline and expedite the integration of cryptocurrency into everyday applications in the UAE and internationally, offering secure, compliant, and easy settlement options for businesses and consumers.

“Today marks a significant advancement in the UAE’s digital financial ecosystem,” stated Wang Hao, CFA, Senior Executive Officer at Changer.ae. “Our partnership with PayFlex is a natural progression in the UAE’s expanding digital asset landscape, merging our secure custody and conversion services with PayFlex’s cutting-edge point-of-sale crypto settlement technology. Together, we are shaping a future where digital and traditional finance coexist seamlessly.”

This MoU enhances Changer’s robust network of regulated partners, including Al Maryah Community Bank (Mbank), a foundational banking partner that offers Central Bank-approved UAE dirham escrow services and regulatory assistance for compliant crypto-fiat conversions. It also leverages AE Coin, the UAE’s first fully regulated dirham-backed stablecoin, supporting 1:1 dirham-pegged transactions to foster financial inclusion.

Shadi Ahmad, Chairman of PayFlex, highlighted the broader vision: “This partnership is not just strategic — it is transformative. By combining Changer’s exchange capabilities with PayFlex’s merchant-ready solutions, and backed by Mbank’s trust, we are developing the region’s most advanced crypto-to-fiat settlement gateway. Our aim is to make digital currencies practical for daily use — from hotels to real estate, restaurants, and beyond.”

The impact of this partnership is already visible across key UAE sectors.

Najet ben Kaddour, CEO of Matrix Wings Group LLC, remarked: “We are proud to utilize PayFlex’s cryptocurrency settlement technology. It has given us a secure, compliant foundation to confidently accept digital assets. By mitigating volatility and fraud risks, we attracted high-value crypto customers, resulting in a 15% revenue increase in the first quarter alone. PayFlex has truly turned uncertainty into opportunity.”

Ihab Tannish, CEO of ITS Real Estate Brokerage LLC, shared his experience with PayFlex: “With PayFlex, we didn’t just integrate cryptocurrency technology—we unlocked a new revenue stream. Their seamless local currency settlements allowed us to safely leverage the crypto economy’s spending power. Consequently, we observed a 17% rise in average order value from crypto users and significantly widened our market reach. It’s been transformative for our business growth. We truly appreciate the impact PayFlex has had on our ecosystem and operations.”

This collaboration reflects the UAE’s innovative approach to financial advancements, positioning the nation as a global leader in regulated digital assets.
