Two specialists emphasized that the UAE’s regulatory and legislative bodies are crucial in building trust among experts in green autonomous logistics. This trust promotes broader adoption and encourages the development of necessary infrastructure.
During the second day of the 4th Dubai World Congress for Self-driving Transport 2025, held in Dubai on Thursday, they highlighted that confidence and expertise are essential for fostering innovation and advancing AI and robotics in this field. These factors are key to harnessing the main benefits of green autonomous logistics, such as enhancing transport efficiency, cutting costs, reducing human error-related accidents, and decreasing travel times.
In a panel titled “The Future of Green Autonomous Logistics,” moderated by Andy Gill, founder and COO of Simulytic, Dr. Xuchen Zhang, co-founder of Zelos, and Paul Newman, co-founder and CTO of Oxa, discussed the anticipated growth in autonomous logistics, which is expected to improve transport operations’ efficiency and effectiveness.
Dr. Xuchen Zhang highlighted the need for global partnerships to speed up the deployment of autonomous vehicles. He noted that these systems are 50 times safer than human drivers in terms of performance and operational hours, and they also lower manufacturing costs.
Paul Newman clarified that AI serves as a supportive tool for humans rather than a replacement. He stressed the importance of establishing robust foundations and independent operational frameworks for green autonomous logistics.
These frameworks would allow other companies to develop their future ventures with increased efficiency and quality.
