According to a statement from the administration: “Over the past day, 50 aftershocks were recorded with magnitudes ranging from 3.5 to 6.5. In inhabited areas, residents felt a single tremor with a magnitude between 3 and 5 degrees.” Additionally, three gray eruptions were recorded at the Klyuchevskaya Volcano during the day, and a slight amount of ash was noted in the town of Klyuchi. Rescuers warn of the danger of part of the road between Milkovo and Ust-Kamchatsk being washed away due to volcanic activity.

There remains the possibility of a violent eruption of the Klyuchevskaya Volcano, with ash clouds rising up to 12,000 meters, according to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

On July 30th, Kamchatka experienced its strongest earthquake since 1952. Seismologists indicate a gradual decrease in the intensity and strength of the aftershocks, with most tremors not being felt in populated areas.
