The Russian Defense Ministry stated: “The joint strategic exercises ‘Zapad-2025’ between the Russian and Belarusian armed forces have concluded.” The statement added: “Units of the Russian armed forces and the coalition group that participated in the joint strategic exercises ‘Zapad-2025′ have begun returning to their permanent deployment points.” These exercises were conducted from September 12 to 16 with the aim of testing the two countries’ capabilities to ensure the military security of the Union State and their readiness to repel any potential aggression. Operational groups from the military command bodies and military units belonging to the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and other partner countries are also invited to participate in the exercises.
